- My first picture matching the Thomson TO8 specs (early 1990's 8 bit computer from France): 16 colours chosen from a 4096 colour palette, only 2 colours per 8x1 block. The block limitation makes it really hard to have proper anti-aliasing on the edges or any colourful fine detail, but being able to chose the palette is a massive plus compared to most other 8 bit machines. The picture was done initially for Forever Young, a demo targetting the earlier Thomson MO5 model, where the palette is fixed and the colours not particularly well chosen. You can see the MO5 version of the picture below.
